(Using the matrix formulation is ident NOTE 0 ical.) They indicate a beam waist at that point and its radius is less than 0.001 mm. Changing the value of "M squared" does not correct or change the beam waist. How could it? "M squared" does no NOTE 0 t even handle the sign of any aberration. It has little value other than indicating the general beam quality of a laser.
